The ORB Bluetooth Ring
Every once in a while I run into technologies that look super cool and/or super fun and I'd like to share them with you. I'm calling this new feature "iWantz" (for "I wants…").
Here's the ORB Bluetooth Ring, which is supposed to hit the market in early 2010. Functional, compact and beautiful.
A new headset design from Hybra Advance Technology and AbsolutelyNew, it combines a small, sleek design with a storage solution that is always in plain sight and almost impossible to lose. That’s because when you remove the headset from your ear a simple twist turns it into a ring that can be placed on a finger.
There will be two versions of the headset available; the standard and deluxe editions, as well as multiple ring sizes for every finger size. When sitting on the ear; bone conduction is used to ensure good quality sound and allow it to function outside of the ear so there’s nothing hampering your normal hearing ability. Even though this device is tiny the deluxe version has a flexible organic light emitting diode (FOLED) screen integrated into the outer casing allowing the display of Caller ID and calendar reminders.
The standard ORB is to be released in the U.S., Europe, and across Asia in January 2010 with the deluxe version coming out in April 2010. The standard headset will cost around $129 and the deluxe version $175.
I'm looking forward to reading the reviews when it comes out.

Yes, very elegant, and I am as tempted as you for this new device. However, I will manage to lose it in less than a week. WOW, it is delightfully chic though.
