Problems with Opera 10.00 Beta 2 and WordPress 2.8.2

I consistently use three different browsers throughout my day: Safari, Firefox and Opera -- all on Mac.

I usually like to use Opera for backend WordPress administrative work on the sites I'm creating for clients. I've been trying out the latest Opera Beta, 10.00, and have noticed a particularly annoying problem with WordPress.

The Media Manager simply won't work correctly with images, both as a Flash Uploader and as a Browser uploader. It uploads the image, but then you can't insert it into a post.

This problem began occurring with WordPress 2.8. The two upgrades since then don't seem to have resolved the problem. I've never been happy with the Media Manager that WordPress uses (in any Mac browser) as it seems a bit temperamental. I hope they get this issue worked out.

In addition, the Opera Beta is SLLOOOWWWW and sometimes does not allow the WordPress administrative panels to appear correctly on the page, adding to the frustration of using it. I hope they work this out.

UPDATE: I found that I was having issues in any browser I used. There seems to be a two part fix. One is to change some permissions on certain directories (see the WordPress forums) and the other is to make sure that the directory indicated for upload in your Miscellaneous setting does not have a "/" in front of it. Problem solved.
